This hydraulic feed, disc-style chipper is similar to Bandit's popular Model 250 because it boasts the same powerful feed system. It differs from the 250 because its 287 square inch chipper opening is 25% greater than that of its counterpart.
Two versions of the Model 254 are offered-the standard 254 with horsepower options to 140HP and a higher horsepower unit with heavier drive and engine options up to 200HP.
A powerful feed system and Bandit's new Easy Climb Feed Wheel Tensioning System makes feeding large pieces easier and reduces material movement in the infeed hopper. A 360° swivel discharge spout and hand-crank swivel discharge spout are offered. Two versions are offered: the standard 254 and the higher horsepower 254 with four times the power. The increased opening and powerful feed system reduces the need to trim. This unit is easier to feed than most other chippers and is extremely effective when it comes to chipping brush. The 254 is also available with three knife pockets that enable the unit to chip more smoothly with less vibration. Knives stay sharper longer, reducing knife maintenance costs. This unit has been put "into motion" by way of a caterpillar 305CR rubber track undercarriage. This option comes with a tether and a radio remote. |
